# About Robot News

> Robot News is a free, daily robotics news feed: industry, research, humanoid, drone and AI news from leading publications, deduplicated and searchable.

## How it works

1. Once a day (00:00 UTC) Robot News reads the RSS feeds of leading robotics, drone, research and AI publications.
2. It removes duplicates by normalized URL and by a SHA-256 hash of the content.
3. It sorts each article into one of 6 categories by keyword matching: Industry News, Research, Humanoids, Industrial Robots, Drones, AI/Automation. Classification is automatic, so some off-topic items get through.
4. Everything is searchable on the web, as markdown, through the REST API and over MCP. Articles link to and credit the original publisher.
